Alabama is the No. 1 team in the nation at a perfect 8-0 (5-0) on the season. Nick Saban’s team is the overwhelming favorite to win the 2016 SEC Championship and represent the conference in the 2017 College Football Playoff. Saban’s Crimson Tide still have two huge tests left this season against LSU and the arch rival Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl.

LSU is the No. 15 team in the country. The Tigers are 5-2 (3-1) on the season and can still win the SEC this year. It is impressive how this team has responded under interim head coach Ed Orgeron. LSU was left for dead after the athletic department decided to fire long-time head coach Les Miles after an early road loss in Auburn.

According to OddsShark.com, the Tigers will be getting 7.5 points at home from the Crimson Tide. The associated moneylines are Alabama -300 and LSU +250. This game’s over under comes in at 46.5 combined points.

If Alabama is going to lose this regular season, it could very well likely happen in Baton Rouge. Death Valley is arguably the toughest road environment in college football. Playing at night absolutely gives the Tigers a chance in this game.

LSU may have an interim head coach at the helm, but this looks to be the best game in the SEC so far this season. This has the makings of the most exciting game on the schedule in Week 10. No wonder why ESPN’s College GameDay is making the trek this week to the Louisiana state capital.
